Since 2004/2005 academic year, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang has been holding Personality Development and Leadership Training. It has to be followed by all of the new comers. One purpose of the training is to develop personality and leadership that actual on self confidence of the participants.
This research was aimed to know and evaluate whether the training could improve self confidence of the participants effectively. It was quasi experimentation with The One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Self confidence was measured by The Self Confidence Scale and the data were analyzed in statistics by the t-test technique.
The result of the analyzes showed that there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest score of The Self Confidence Scale (t = -2,044; p = 0,044) with = 87,67 and ’ = 88,97. It meant that there was an increasing. It could be concluded that The Personality Development and Leadership Training held by Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang improved self confidence of its participants effectively.
